A modern take on a classic.

The look is elegant and refined, but also flashy enough for rock and roll. The Gold hardware, full body/neck/headstock binding, and shimmering finishes dress this guitar to command attention.

Tonally, we wanted to cross a hollow’s inherent jazz warmth with aggressive rock /blues definition and power.

The combination of our own design mini-humbuckers, with a center block based hollow “wings” body, gave us what we were looking for: bright and strong hum-canceling tone that is full-range but doesn’t get muddy. The Ebony fingerboard adds in bit more definition to the mix as well. The “Chicagoan” positively shines in any situation, from jazz club clean to  blistering blues or garage rock overdrive glory. It even does superb Rock-a-Billy and country twang, oh and it funks out like a beast too.

Top it all off with a Bigsby B70 and a Tune-O-Matic, roller-saddle bridge for effortless vibrato action, once you pick it up,  it’s hard to put it down!

A true "blast from the past" undeniably cool.

The Aria TA 40 is a double cutaway semi acoustic guitar powered by 2 humbucker pickups. The body is laminated maple with a carved top and back and the bolt-on neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. Unique are the Aria SPT Bridge and QH tailpiece.

Acoustically the sound is bright and toppy courtesy of the maple construction. This translates beautifully into the amplified voice especially when running the bridge pickup into a valve amp with medium overdrive. Running clean the sounds are mellow and jazzy with a sparkling treble edge. In fact this guitar delivers exactly what you would expect from it. Not quite the entire sonic palette you'd get from a Gibbo, but that's why Gibbos cost six times as much. That said, the Aria TA40 delivers substantial goods in the tone department with a clean bridge jangle.

De K161 Thin Twin Electric Guitar werd in 1952 geïntroduceerd en was toen bekend als het

De Thin Twin was de eerste gitaar die het unieke bluesgeluid kon produceren door de Speciale Kay bracing.

The K161 Kay Thin Twin electric guitar was originally introduced in 1952 and was known as the "Jimmy Reed" or "Howlin' Wolf" model. T-Bone Burnett played a Thin Twin to back up Robert Plant and Allison Krause at the 2009 Grammy Awards. The Thin Twin was the first guitar able to create that unique blues sound from the special Kay interior bracing that made the instrument a favorite among blues players as well as rockers of the '50s and '60s.

The Thin Twin got its name from its two blade pickups, known for their distinctive clean, sharp, sustaining sound. The Thin Twin's hollowbody chamber parallel bracing produces that gutsy, bluesy, raw sound, creating a clean natural distortion without feedback.
